Frank Stock, A.O.C.A

I was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, but these days I call Toronto home. I studied at the Ontario College of Art, focusing on the figure, but honestly my biggest influences are everything I see, feel, and experience day to day. Painting is how I live—it’s about being present in the moment and finding beauty in the world around me. During my time studying in Italy, I discovered plein air painting, and it completely changed the way I see. There’s something about chasing the light and working outdoors that keeps the work fresh and alive for me. Travel has also become a huge part of my practice—I love exploring new places, and those experiences always find their way into my paintings. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to have my work collected by people and companies across North America, Europe, and Asia, which is humbling and incredibly rewarding.
